It's done. That's right the new free Ep is now available for download at bandcamp it is called Children As Weapons and contains 4 songs. Weapons As Children, which is going to be on my new album that will be available later this year and three other songs. Have a listen and I really hope you enjoy the new stuff.

Delay

Hey!

I am afraid I am going to delay the release of my ep on Monday until Wednesday. I should make up some elaborate excuse about my computer melting or my fingers being eaten by a teapot pig but honestly I went out on Thursday night for a few drinks and this is me now just waiting on a bus to take me home. Good weekend but now I'm rough as hell and haven't been able to do the last finishing touches to the ep.

Sorry and it will defo be ready by wednesday.

New you say?

Hello!

Long time no communication but I have had good reason. I have been writing some new music and by some I mean loads. So the plan is, of course, to release a new album. I had planned to release this by September but I reckon it will be more likely to be released by October because I want to make sure I am completely happy with it.

But I don't want to keep you all waiting too long so I will be releasing a new FREE ep with a song from the album and a couple of other songs which wont be on the album. It will be released on Monday 15th August and be available on Bandcamp. More detail towards the end of the week.

Well, it was lovely talking to you and I'll let you know all details soon.

Braidwood Pond

Hello!

I am delighted to annouce the my newest project, which is a collaboration with Thomas Simodo (Simodo Dragons) is officailly called Braidwood Pond. We have released our first ep which is a collection of 6 songs that will give you a good idea of what we are all about; it's called Ginger Beer and is available for free download at bandcamp.

Almost Done

So just to update with how I got on with my collaboration with Simodo Dragons the other week.

We have worked on a couple of songs which are sounding pretty good and just pretty in general. Thomas (Simodo Dragons) is off work this week so is doing some adjustments to it and then we are meeting up again on Friday to finalise it. So things are good! We just need to decide under what name to release it i.e Poor Colour Palette and Simodo Dragons or something new incase we decide to do some more stuff. Who knows?

Well you'll know by next week I guess when we release it.

Long time no see

Hello!

Firstly please allow me to apologise for the ridiculous amount of time it has been since my last post but I have been super crazy busy at work and any spare time I have I am using to write new material for my next album.

I am really happy with all the songs I have written so far for the next album, keeping them very simple, very much like my ep, “Growing up a Boy” (which if you haven’t heard please download it for free at bandcamp). I am still looking to have it finished and released by September so I shall keep you all up to date with the progress.

Recently I met a guy, called Thomas Simodo, who I went to primary school with and discovered he is making some rather splendid music too under the name Simodo Dragons (who has just released a free album called 'From a to m' on bandcamp which is awesome so definitely have a listen). We have decided to try and collaborate and see if the outcome is any good, if so we shall probably post it also on bandcamp. So that is tonight’s plans since neither of us have to work tomorrow (I heart bank holidays), but apparently the first 3 Scream films are on telly tonight so I guess we’ll watch them first, discuss our ideas and then once Sidney kills her brother we’ll try and make some music.

I’ll let you know how we get on and I promise to be updating this far more frequently.

Laminating Memories

Happy New Year

Hey. Hope you all had a great festive period and that 2011 is good to you all. I am currently at home enjoying a quiet day with my family which is awesome.

Just thought I'd let you know my plans for the year. I am currently working on a new ep that should be ready by no later than the end of February depending on how much work I have. This will be the same as the last one, free to download at bandcamp and last.fm so keep an eye on that. Then I am aiming to release a new album around September/October time as well.

I am also planning on doing some work on my other projects Chinese Crack Crimes (ambient/electronic) and Frosted Brogues (8-bit) so of you are interested please keep an eye on them too.

Thanks for everyones support and hopefully with continued support I'll be able to achieve my goal for the year and be able to leave my awful job and concentrate on music permanently. Have a great year!
